The third round of the MSC Carpet Cup was held in Norrtälje outside Stockholm. The race saw the usual topdrivers of northern Sweden competing in Modified 12T and Stock 27T classes. The track was quite tight with a technical infield and traction soon got quite high in time for qualifying.

In qualifying, I sat the pace right from the start with TQ in all three rounds and also improving the time all rounds as traction increased. TRF driver Tommy Bergfeldt qualified second with PerErik Nordman third driving a Schumacher Mi2.
The finals ran fine and I could win the first two mains quite easy even with a mistake in the first final that I had to repair but it was no problem, it was very easy to push the car to its limit and put on some blistering lap times in the mains.

I did not have to work very much on my car during the race because the setup was working very well from the start, I ran a quite standard car with a bit more toe-in at the rear and antirollbars which makes the car easier to drive in these conditions. 100% rebound in the dampers also makes the car very fast and makes a "direct" feeling but still has very much traction even tough the front end does not dip down as much during cornering and therefore increase cornerspeed.

In the stock class, we saw the closest race ever in the MSC carpet series with mainly 4 drivers involved, the two XRAY drivers Jörgen Landblom and Niklas Flink who put on TQ times from the first rounds of qualifying and battled out the Schumacher drivers Kenneth Malkusson and Viktor Boklund in all three mains with just tenths of a second separating the 4 drivers at the finish line.
